He sits
on a four poster bed,
gazing out
the window.
A panoramic view
along
the Tamar Valley.
Greenery,
waterways,
birdlife,
human life.
An open window
invites
the cool fresh air
into his room.
The bed
looks ornamental
with intricate design
and frilly curtains.
The bed coverings
are luxurious
and inviting.
All in all
a perfect setting
to lounge away
the day.
It is not to be so
for this man
continues his journey.
Along roadways,
along pathways,
along the journey
of life.
This moment
he relaxes,
appreciating
the beauty
before him.
The importance
of pausing
and appreciating
cannot be overstated.
Take a moment
out of your day
to pause
and appreciate.
What you see,
what you feel,
what you hear,
will re-invigorate
your day.
Life
is not about
the destination.
It is about
pausing,
appreciating
and celebrating.
