If a smile
was to brighten
my day,
it would be
yours.
If someone’s eyes
were to sparkle
my imagination,
they would be
yours.
If an intellect
was to spin
my mind
with words,
it would be
yours.
If the presence
of someone
would bring
a smile
to my face,
it would be
you.
If you read
these words
and think
how can it be,
then I say
to you,
“it is because
of you.”
