For
over 400 days
I have been
writing a poem
on each day.

Of course,
there was
an oops
on Christmas Day.

I made up
for it
the next day.

A couple of things
have happened
to me recently
that could have changed
this habit.

First,
I misplaced
a list
of poem subjects,
yet to be written.

Secondly,
over a few days
I felt that
I had written about
the same subject twice.

I began
to question
the logic behind
what I was doing.

I questioned
whether continuing
this quest
was valid.

I decided that
the next day
I would stop
my daily poem writing.

In essence,
I lost
the attachment
to this ritual.

Surprisingly
the next day,
not only did
I find a subject
to write about,
I started
a new list
of titles.

A freak
of nature
inspired me
to continue
to write.

By letting go
of my need
to write,
I found
my desire
to write.

I left it
to the Universe,
and the Universe
answered loudly.

By losing
the focus,
I gained
the clarity.

By being
too involved
in a project,
I could not see
the forest for the trees.

There is
a school
of thought
that says
everything that you want,
you can have.

The secret
to this process
is letting go.

Visualise
what you want,
see yourself
as having it
before you,
then let it go.

Allow
the Universe
to bring it
to you.

It seems
so simple,
yet,
in reality,
it is challenging.

The challenge
is
to let go.

So,
here goes,
I am visualising it,
I am seeing it
as existing before me,
I am letting go.

Fingers crossed
as I do,
I wonder
what is going
to happen
tomorrow!
