We live
such complicated
and involved lives
at times.
Managing this,
manipulating that,
organising this,
paying that.
We can do this,
but will not
be able to do that.
We live here,
we work there,
we holiday
somewhere else.
There are
so many choices
it can get
very overwhelming
knowing what to do
next.
In all of this,
we are missing
the great lesson
of simplicity.
The most
wonderful
demonstration
of this,
is right
in front of us.
It is
our
environment.
For several years,
most of the country
of my birth
has been in drought.
Insufficient rain,
in many cases
no rain,
has parched
the lands.
Wildlife,
birdlife,
plant life,
have all suffered.
Numerous trees
on my property
have shown
significant signs
of stress.
In some cases,
the trees
have died.
Everything
looks bleak
and depressing.
Then,
as if someone
flicked a switch,
the rains came.
Over the last six weeks,
significant rainfall
has been recorded
in my area.
Where lands
were barren
and lifeless,
there is now
greenery
and vibrancy.
Where before
plants and trees
had almost shutdown,
there is new growth,
an abundance of flowers
and much colour.
One simple action,
one necessary action,
and everything
changed.
It is life,
for you can also
change everything.
Just
one step
is needed.
What
is
your step?
Only
you know,
for it is
your life.
Find
it
today.
