The still
of the night
descends
upon us.
It is
cool
outside.
It is
warm
within.
Yet,
there is
no power,
no electricity,
no gas,
no fire.
The warmth
emanates
deep within
our souls.
For a group
of people
are sharing
a common goal.
A dream
to help
our planet
heal,
regenerate,
re-invigorate.
We have
committed
to minimise
our use
of our resources
for one hour.
What is
surprising,
is the peace
and tranquillity
that is experienced.
Serenity
in nothingness,
a joy
few of us
have felt.
Connected
with others,
connected
with our planet,
for just
a few short minutes.
Joined
in spirit,
in intention,
in belief,
in hope.
Together
we can,
together
we will,
do anything.
United
in understanding,
joined
in commitment,
we will fulfil
all of our dreams.
Stand
with us,
stand
beside us.
Stand
together,
for we can be,
united as one!
